Types | Description | Suitable For | Not Suitable For | Slip Resistant | Maintenance | Multiple Colours | Multiple Textures |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Exposed Aggregate | The most popular decorative concrete. The top layer of concrete is removed to reveal the mixed-in aggregate. | Driveways, alfresco areas, pathways, patios, steps and school areas. | Indoors | Yes | Low | Yes | Yes |
Honed Aggregate | Honed aggregate is mechanically ground down, giving the material a much smoother finish than exposed aggregate. | Alfresco areas, pathways, patios, kitchen benches, foyers, bathrooms, kitchens, pool decks, spas and carports. | Driveways | Yes (with slip resistant sealer) | Low | Yes | Yes |
Polished Aggregate | The finish of the polished aggregate has a glossy and lustrous look. It can be polished to your preferred level of shine (i.e. matte, satin or gloss). | Retail stores, offices, car showrooms, hotels and restaurants. | Outdoor areas, pool surrounds, wet areas and driveways. | No | Low | Yes | Yes |
Liquid Limestone | It is a mix of crushed limestone and neutral coloured cement. Together they create a pourable compound (as opposed to regular limestone pavers). | Pool surrounds, garden paths, walkways, galvanised mesh driveways and carports. | Driveways without galvanised mesh and retaining walls. | Yes | Low | No | Yes |
Polished Concrete Overlay | We pour an overlay between 10mm to 15mm thick over an existing concrete floor/slab. The result is the look of finely polished aggregate, without the need to rip up existing concrete. | Inside your home, showrooms, hair salons and offices. | Outdoors, driveways and pool surrounds. | No | Low | Yes | No |
